Environment & Swiss law

Playing outdoors while respecting every venue.

IRTAG creates outdoor adventures with one clear standard: deliver a fantastic experience while respecting the setting, other users and Swiss law.

Playing in a forest never means going deep into untouched woodland.

We favour areas that are already developed or regularly used: around shelters, playgrounds, clearings, parks, gardens and other places shaped by human activity. Many games take place entirely outside forests.

IRTAG

Our environmental impact notice

IRTAG specialises in outdoor laser game. When woodland is part of the venue, we remain in areas already shaped by human activity and never use deep, untouched forest.

The installation is mobile and temporary: no projectiles, paint or permanent structures. The venue is agreed with its owner or manager and left as we found it.

Our charter protects soil, plants and wildlife, respects other users and sensitive periods, and requires every group to leave no trace.

Eleven practical commitments

These principles shape venue selection, preparation, the safety briefing and every IRTAG session.

01

Use places already shaped by people

Choose woodland that already includes human activity, such as areas around shelters, playgrounds, managed clearings or existing leisure facilities.

02

Avoid sensitive natural habitats

Exclude sites of high ecological value, especially wetlands that are highly vulnerable to trampling.

03

Never play in forests at night

IRTAG never runs night games in woodland with artificial lighting.

04

Protect wildlife in spring

From April to mid-July, limit the playing area to locations already affected by human activity during the wildlife breeding season.

05

Respect wildlife quiet zones

Do not play in federal game reserves or designated wildlife quiet zones.

06

Obtain the owner’s consent

Every woodland parcel has an owner. Their agreement should be obtained to prevent misunderstandings or problems.

07

Keep the venue safe

Avoid logging areas and declining tree stands. Cancel or postpone the activity during storms or strong winds.

08

Follow every access restriction

Respect all access restrictions protecting nature, forests and wildlife.

09

Leave no trace

Generate no waste or harmful emissions and remove all equipment after the activity.

10

Check altitude restrictions

Some cantons apply altitude restrictions. IRTAG advises groups and suggests suitable alternative locations.

11

Keep public access open

The activity must not obstruct other users. Organisers and players keep routes open and behave respectfully.

Compliant equipment

Why the IRTAG casing is transparent

IRTAG developed a fully transparent casing so the internal mechanism remains visible and the equipment cannot be mistaken for a firearm.

An orange tip alone may not be enough to prevent confusion. Full transparency is therefore a deliberate safety and compliance choice.

The Fedpol documents below provide official information. For a specific situation, the competent authority remains the final legal reference.
